Family is the center of who we are. Happily married for 29 years, Jeff and Lori Nemes have 5 children, Josiah (25), Isaac (23), Janiece (17), Aarik (14), and Chayla (13). Josiah now lives in Ellensburg, WA. where he works as a commercial pilot and flight instructor and he is married to Hallie, He spends his free time climbing scary rocks high in the mountains. Isaac lives on a historic wooden tugboat in La Conner. He loves everything to do with the ocean, water, and boats, riding motorcyles, fishing, seeing new places, and having great adventures. He works as a deckhand on a commercial tugboat.  Janiece has grown taller than her mom, is an amazing helper around the house and the farm, and is growing into a delightful young lady. Aarik loves to take things apart, and we're working on figuring out how to put them back together. He loves to ride his bike, play ultimate frisbee, football and soccer, fishing, and going on adventures. Chayla is our barbarian princess. She loves pretty things, climbing trees, dancing, crazy music, snuggling baby chicks, and all things kitten.

We love real wood backyard barbecues, roasting marshmallows, banjos, mandolins, and guitars, extreme croquet, swimming on warm summer days, cross country skiing, snowball fights, salmon fishing, high mountain lakes, the bugle of a bull elk on a cool fall morning, the splash of a paddle in still water, and growing things on our family farm (kids, plants, fish, chickens, goats…..). We love to gather in the living room to hear or tell stories, and to play instruments, make music, sing, and dance around. We love to make gourmet pizzas, french fries, artisan breads, sourdough waffles, and father's famous flying flapjacks.

“Life Tastes Good” sums up what we believe about the amazing adventure our good God created us for, which of course has to do with good food, good families, making our communities good places, for a good future for all of us.
